Joseph Greenfield of Dunmore died Monday evening at Hospice Community Care in Dunmore, after an illness. He was born in Old Forge, son of the late James and Margaret Tyson Greenfield. He was employed for many years at Sandone Tire in Scranton. He enjoyed fishing and baseball and was an avid Philly’s fan. He was preceded in death by two brothers George and Eugene Hodgson and a sister Margaret Logan. He is survived by his sister Shirley Staff of Dalton, three nieces: Gloria Hickox of East Benton, Sand Melnikoff of Perkiomenville, Shirley Halverson of Phoenix, Az., and a nephew James Conklin of Phoenix, Az., also many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 am at the Anthony P. Litwin Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville. Services by the Rev. Catherine Parsons of the East Benton United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery, Peckville. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4.
