Betty E. Brown, 86 of Tunkhannock passed away February 2, 2010, at the Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock. She was born in Vosburg on March 15, 1923, daughter of the late Stanley and Shirley Calvert Sands. She attended the Tunkhannock Area School District, and was a homemaker. She was a past member of the Russell Hill United Methodist Church. Betty is preceded in death by her former husband Melvin Brown, her sister Beatrice Shelley, brother(s) Harold, Emerson and Ralph Sands. She is survived by her son Robert Brown; granddaughter(s) Kelly Kozlansky and husband Shannon, Bobbi Jo Roote and husband Nathaniel; grandson (s) Devin and Daniel Brown; great grandchildren Cheyenne Brown, Gabrielle and Julianna Roote, Justin and Brandon Kozlansky, all of Tunkhannock. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
