L.R. Phillips of Tunkhannock died Monday morning at Mercy Hospital, Scranton after being stricken with an apparent heart attack. L.R. was born in Sayre son of the late Milton and Alice Shoemaker Phillips. L.R. was a Graduate of Tunkhannock High School, class of 1969 and a graduate of the University of Virginia. L.R. was employed by the Law Firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges of New York City as Senior Paralegal. LR. believed that no matter how little one has, always put the needs of others ahead of your own. L.R. was a wonderful father, brother, uncle and friend and will be sorely missed. L.R. is survived by a son Ryan of Tunkhannock a brother Leslie of New York City a sister Mary Johnson of West Nicholson, cousins Laura Greenley of Tunkhannock and Collin Johnson of West Nicholson. Private Funeral Services will be held Thursday at the Convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock on Thursday evening from 6 to 8pm.
