Elizabeth S. Hegedty of Falls, died Monday at Allied Skilled Services, Scranton after a long illness. She was born in Missouri, daughter of the late Arthur and Betty Robinson Scaife. She was preceded in death by her husband David A. Hegedty, who died Nov. 3, 2008. She was a graduate of Grier High School in Tyrone, PA. She was formerly employed by Gay’s True Value in Tunkhannock as a book keeper. She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of Tunkhannock. She was a member of the Tunkhannock Lions Club, where she served as treasurer. She enjoyed gardening, birds and especially enjoyed riding horses. She is survived by two sons; George and his wife Michelle of Factoryville, John and his wife Jennifer of Tunkhannock, a daughter Diane of Tunkhannock, a granddaughter Victoria and a grandson Kyle. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 4:30 at the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock with Services by the Rev. Vivian Bennett of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 7pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tunkhannock Lions Club.
