Anne K. Thomas
Ann K. Thomas of Factoryville, Pa and Holly Hill, FL died Sunday after a brief illness. Born in Scranton, Pa, she was the wife of Edmund Thomas who died in 1995. She was a graduate of St. Johns University and Kings County Hospital Medical Center in New York. She was an active member of the Daytona Beach Boat Club, the U.S. Power Squadron, Halifax Historical Museum, Antiquarian club, YMCA, and the Poinsettia Garden Club of Holly Hill.
She was a nurse for Kings County Hospital in New York, a visiting nurse for the Pennsylvania Department of Health in Wyoming County, and an industrial nurse for Procter and Gamble.
Daughter of the late Michael and Helen Kowalchik of Scranton, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Joseph and John Kowalchik and sister in law Elaine Kowalchik. She is survived by a son Christopher Thomas, his wife Sharon, and grandchildren Cory and Katelyn of Poolesville, Maryland.
A blessing service will be held at the Anthony P. Litwin Funeral Home 33 Reynolds St. Factoryville on Saturday March 26
th
at 10:30 am with Father Thomas Petro officiating. Friends may call from 9am until the time of the service. Interment will follow at the Evergreen-Woodlawn Cemetery, Factoryville.
