Bertha Zona

Bertha Zona, 91, formerly of Tunkhannock, died in Silverton Oregon on Jan. 28, 2023.  She was born in East Lemon on April 29, 1931, and she was the daughter of the late John and Mabel Radwanski.  She attended Tunkhannock High School and was married to the late James Zona in 1950, who passed in 1992.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, was a loyal Phillies fan, enjoyed the Casinos and volunteering.  She was on the Election board, and a very active member of the East Lemon United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son James A. Zona, her siblings Arthur Radwanski, Nancy Radwanski, and Patricia Radwanski.

She is survived by her sons John Zona (Lenore), Alan Zona (Karen), Paul Zona (David Hall) and Keith Zona (Maryellen), 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sat Feb. 11th at 11am from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock with Pastor Cathy Wilcox officiating.  A viewing will be held from 10am until the time of the service.  Interment will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery.  For online condolences or direction please visit www.aplitwinfuneralhome.com
