Beulah Dawn Clayton, 75, of Meshoppen passed away at the Allied Hospice in Scranton, Pa. on Jan. 30, 2024. She was born in Meshoppen on May 16, 1948, and she was the daughter of the late Rudolph “Jake” and Mildred (Fassett) Lasher. She was a 1966 graduate of the Elk Lake High School, and she was married to Nelson Clayton, Jr. for 52 years. Beulah was employed at Select Sires for approximately 40 years.
Beulah was a loyal Elk Lake School Basketball fan, enjoyed working in her garden, and she was an animal lover.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and James Teetsel.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Jonathan Clayton of Tunkhannock, sisters; Sandy and husband Robert Garey of Mill City, Helen, and husband William Rought, of Falls, Patricia and husband Charles Michalowski of Lake Winola, brother Raymond and wife Patty Lasher of Montrose, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sat. Feb. 3 rd at 10:30am from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock. A viewing will be held from 9:30am until the time of the service.
