Brian S. Bobich

Brian Scott Bobich, 52, of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Factoryville, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021 at WakeMed Raleigh Campus. Born in Scranton on Sept. 28, 1968, the son of Sharon Ayers of Nicholson. He met his wife of 19 years in college, the former Carol Beere.

Brian graduated from Lackawanna Trail High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He worked at MetLife as an IT consultant. He was fun, outgoing, and always the life of the party. He made friends easily and once you were a friend of his, you were a friend for life. He also had a quiet side that most people didn’t get to see. He would feed the birds, deer, and squirrels in the backyard and watch them for hours while relaxing on the deck. He enjoyed helping others, whether it was with career advice or volunteering at Valor Games, Habitat for Humanity, and the NC Food Bank. He was someone you could always count on. His hobbies included spending time with family and friends, xbox, biking, shooting, and fishing in Alaska.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Carolyn Bobich, who were a significant part of his life and taught him important lessons about hard work, honesty, and integrity. Those traits followed him throughout his life and made him the man he is, a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend to so many. Also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Michael Beere.

Brian is survived by his wife Carol and daughter Angelica. He named his daughter Angelica because she was “Daddy’s Little Angel”. She meant the world to him and he fiercely protected her and made sure she had the best of everything. She also had a loving name for him. He was her “dadoo”.  Also survived by his mother Sharon (Bob) Ayers, sister Mechele Bobich of Jensen Beach, FL, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
