Caroline H. Kresge, age 97, of Dalton, passed away at Geisinger CMC on March 20, 2026. Born August 20, 1928, in Tunkhannock, she was the daughter of Burt Harding and Lillian Barziloski Harding. Caroline was married to William B. Kresge, Jr. for four decades. She worked as a secretary at Tunkhannock Joint Schools and also served as secretary for the Wyoming County Republican Committee.

After starting her family, Caroline found joy in gardening, trips to the lake and out west, and cherishing moments with her family—especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She set a selfless example for those around her.

Along with her parents and husband, Caroline was preceded in death by her grandson, William B. Kresge, and her brothers, Samuel B. Harding and Thomas J. Harding. Her memory is carried on by her children: Caroline Lawson (with husband Richard) of Tunkhannock, and William B. Kresge III (with wife Cynthia) of Dalton; as well as her grandchildren, Kimberly Clark, Benjamin Lawson, Molly Zluchowski, Luke Kresge, and Joseph Kresge; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 26th at 11 a.m. at the Harding Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
