Cheryl Ann Kintner Seese

Cheryl Ann “Cherrie” (Kintner) Seese of Fort Worth, Texas, went to be with her Lord and

Savior on October 8, 2025. She was born on January 4, 1951, the first of five children born to the late Fred and Jeanne Kintner of Mehoopany, Pennsylvania.

Cherrie grew up on the family farm in Mehoopany, where she learned the values of hard work, responsibility, and kindness. She eagerly helped with the cattle and chickens and was active in several 4-H clubs. Her special interests were sewing and showing her Guernsey dairy cows. Cherrie was also deeply involved in the youth fellowship of the Mehoopany Methodist Church, attending faithfully throughout her childhood and teen years. She loved camping trips with the youth group and Girl Scouts as well as going to Sky Lake, a Christian camp in Windsor, New York.

A 1968 graduate of Tunkhannock High School, Cherrie was active in the Drama Club,

Historian Club, and Photography Club. She sang in the chorus, contributed to the yearbook

staff, and proudly served as Editor of the Yearbook her senior year.

Following high school, Cherrie was selected as a Rotary Exchange Student and spent a year in Brazil, an experience that broadened her heart and her outlook on life. Upon returning home, she attended Keystone College before beginning her career at Procter & Gamble in Mehoopany. Cherrie later married and lived for a short time in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania before moving to Arlington, Texas, where she began a long and respected career in purchasing. She worked for Gene Allen’s Hallmark Store, Arlington Ace Hardware, and later Westlake Ace Hardware in Kansas City, Kansas. She eventually returned to Fort Worth, where she worked for Gourmet Catalog and the Dickies Corporation until her retirement. Across all her positions, Cherrie was known for her professionalism, dedication, and kindness to others. Cherrie’s greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandson, siblings, nieces, nephews, and their families. She also treasured the lifelong friendships she made with co-workers, high school classmates, and church friends. She enjoyed making trips back to Pennsylvania to reconnect with classmates and family. Her smile, gentle humor, and

caring heart will be remembered by everyone who knew her.

Cherrie is survived by her son, Michael Seese of Fort Worth, TX; her daughter, Rachael

(Ryan) Cook of Rainbow, TX; her beloved grandson, Ryder Cook; and her siblings Ed (Deb)

Kintner of Mehoopany, PA; Holly (Tom) Tesluk of Meshoppen, PA; Jet (Paul) Visneski of

Lancaster, PA; and Jeff Kintner and his soulmate Terri White of Tunkhannock, PA. She is

also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews who adored

her.

Calling hours will be held at the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock on Tuesday Oct. 14th from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held at the Mehoopany Methodist Church, 4656 PA-87, Mehoopany, PA, Wednesday Oct. 15th at 10am, with Rev. John Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow at Vaughn Cemetery, Mehoopany, PA.

The family would like to acknowledge Billi Halverson, Cherrie’s longtime personal physical

therapy trainer; Alma Cerda; and Faye Hunter, both integral caregivers who performed

essential roles in Cherrie’s daily activities and care. Cherrie’s family and friends take comfort in knowing she is now home with her Lord, reunited with loved ones who went before her. She will be forever loved, missed, and remembered for her kind spirit and her steadfast love of family, faith, and friendship.
