Claire Ann Griffiths (Teste)

Claire Ann (Teste) Griffiths, 72, a resident of the Golden Living Center of Tunkhannock, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 8, 2016.  She was born in New Britain, Conn. on Jan. 26, 1944 and grew up on the West Side of Scranton. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret (McNish) Teste.
Claire, a hard worker who persevered through many trials, was a devoted mother and compassionate CNA. She enjoyed going on long drives with her daughter, reading, making elaborate gingerbread houses, and helping others.  She was loved by many, and known for her sparkling eyes and smile.
In addition to her parents, Claire is preceded in death by her sister Margaret “Peggy” Teste and brother Anthony Michael Teste.
Claire is survived by her beloved daughter Margaret “Peggy” Tuttle, of Tunkhannock, a sister-in-law Ellen Scango, of Scranton, a sister Ann “Nancy” Sanderson, and a special friend Dawn Baumeister, of Dalton.
Her loved ones are grateful for the outstanding, compassionate care Claire received from the staff of the Golden Living Center, Tunkhannock, and Traditional Hospice.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 17th, at 10 am at the Summit Baptist Bible Church, 232 Noble Road, South Abington Township, officiated by Pastor Donald Roe. Interment will be at the Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.  For online condolences visit www.aplitwinfuneralhomes.com .
