Deborah Welch

Deborah Welch, 70, of Tunkhannock passed away at the Regional Hospital of Scranton on March 3, 2023. She was born in Scranton on June 6, 1952, and she was the daughter of the late Donald and Ruth Perry Beyer. She was married to the late Thomas Welch, who passed away in 2002.
Deborah was a 1972 graduate of the Lackawanna Trail High School, and she worked at Endicott Johnson Shoe Co. and at Mr. Z’s grocery store as a baker. She was a trustee at the Fleetville Fire Company and the Fleetville Fire Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepmother Winifred Beyer, stepsister Wendi Moyer, and a stepbrother Kevin Hackman.
She is survived by her son Adam Welch of Tunkhannock, stepsisters Kim and Joy Hackman of Scranton, and a brother Donald Beyer of Fleetville, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12noon from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock with Pastor John Shaffer officiating. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 11am until the time of the service. Interment will be at the Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
