Diane Lynn Skorich Olson, 77, of Factoryville, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, in an automobile accident alongside her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Olson.

Diane was born April 14, 1949, in Duluth, Minnesota, to the late Steve and Leone (Loyear) Skorich. She graduated from Duluth Denfeld High School in 1967 and attended the University of Minnesota Duluth. In later years, after raising her family, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Pennsylvania. She was also a member of American Mensa.

In 1969, Diane hitchhiked to California with a friend. While living there, she met Myron James “Ole” Olson. The two married on June 20, 1970, in Las Vegas.

While living in California, Diane worked as a legal assistant. In 1981, the family relocated to Pennsylvania, where she later worked with the Marworth Family Program.

In 1987, O&N Aircraft Modifications, founded by Ole and his business partner, Richard Newell, opened at Seamans Airport in Factoryville. From the beginning, Diane was an essential part of O&N, overseeing the financial and administrative side of the business and eventually serving as president. For nearly three decades, O&N was a central part of Diane and Ole’s lives. The company became internationally known for its Silver Eagle aircraft conversions and was highly respected throughout the aviation industry.

Diane was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Tunkhannock. Her faith became especially meaningful to her in the later years of her life, bringing her a deep sense of peace and comfort.

Diane was exceptionally intelligent, creative, and incredibly generous. She had a way of making people feel special and believed deeply in those she cared about. She left a lasting impact on so many lives and will be deeply missed.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Ole; her children, Jennifer and Steven; her sister, Karol Gerard.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Mark Gerard; sister-in-law, Marilyn Foerster (Dave); several cousins, nieces and nephews; and her daughters of the heart, Mallory Pencek Griggs, Laurie Brislin, and Michelle Taylor.

GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: Thursday, October 1, from noon until the 2 p.m. memorial service at Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville. Pastor Joshua Makey of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and David Lee of Grace Bible Church will officiate. Diane and Jennifer will be interred at Chase Cemetery.
