Donald M. Goida

Donald M. Goida, 72, of Factoryville died Tuesday morning at Allied Services Hospice Center, Scranton. Born in Dunmore, PA on Oct. 26, 1948; the son of the late Andrew and Ann Goida.  Donald was preceded in death by his wife the former Maureen Winn who died on Aug. 10, 2017 they were married on July 22, 1988.

Surviving is a daughter Melissa Kasarda of Ocean Beach, CA and a stepdaughter Maggie McAndrew-Coar of Scranton.  Three sons Jake Skiscim of Dalton, Richard McAndrew of Doylestown and Chris Goida of Nevada;. A brother Andy Goida and his wife Doreen of Las Vegas, NV. Two sisters Mariann Goida of Endicott, NY and Diane Dingman of Willet, NY. Ten grandchildren Haley, Nicole, Nikolas, Caden Kasarda, Madison and Nicholas Jones; Caitlyn Coar; Lily and David McAndrew and Amaya Goida; and several nieces and nephews.

Don was proud to have served in the United States Air Force, he was a proud Veteran and a member of the VFW Post 7069 Clarks Summit and American Legion Post 273.  He was also a social member of the Taurus Ukrainian Club in North Scranton.

Don was an avid hunter who loved fishing and camping and shared that love with his children and grandchildren.  Don also loved to spend time in Maderia Florida with his family and his many friends that he met over the years.

A Memorial Mass will be held Monday June 21 at 9:30am from Mary Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church 316 William Street, Scranton with Father Cyril D. Edwards officiating.  Arrangements by Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc., Factoryville.
