Donald Marcy

Donald Marcy, 84, of Tunkhannock passed away at his home in Tunkhannock on Jan. 18 ^th 2016. He was born in Edwardsville on Feb. 19, 1931 and he was the son of the late George and Blanche Rinus Marcy. Donald married the former Florence W. Wandell on July 9, 1955 and they were married for 60 years. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1948 and he served for 9 years.

Donald enjoyed working outside on his roses and his garden. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with his family. Donald would always lend a helping hand if someone needed it.

In addition to his parents Donald is preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister.

In addition to his wife Florence he is survived by 4 sons; Glenn and wife Tina Marcy of Wake Forest N.C., Kevin and wife Cindy Marcy of Tunkhannock, Donald G. Marcy of Tunkhannock, and Brian Marcy and wife Dr. Susan Braudaway of Tunkhannock, grandchildren Luke and Bo Marcy of Tunkhannock, Melissa Marcy of Charlotte N.C., Elizabeth Marcy of Wake Forest N.C., and Ben and wife Jen Marcy of Columbus, OH, step grandchildren Justin Staley and Nicole Sternagle of Raleigh N.C. and Nathan Sternagle of Charlotte, N.C.
