Doris Shotwell

Doris Shotwell, 91, of Tunkhannock passed away at the Allied Hospice Center on May 14, 2025.  She was born on Sept. 4, 1933, in Tunkhannock, and she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Grace Allen Phillips.  She was married to Earl Shotwell for 71 years.

Doris was a 1951 graduate of the Tunkhannock High School where she excelled at basketball, and she was a great softball pitcher.  She worked as a receptionist at Bendix.  Doris was also well known in the area for her Wallpaper Hanging business.  Doris enjoyed gardening, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, crocheting, and entertaining family and friends.

In addition to her parents Doris is preceded in death by her brother Harold Phillips and sisters; Eleanor Harvey and Elaine LaFrance and an infant daughter Elizabeth Shotwell.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; Grant and wife Deborah Shotwell of Tunkhannock, Donna Shotwell and husband Michael Kisielewski of Sarasota, Fl, grandchildren; Ryan Shotwell, Ashley Bedway, Justin Shotwell, Lindsey Kisielewski and Erin Kisielewski, great grandchildren; Brody and Sylvia Bedway.

Funeral service will be held Monday May 19 ^th at 10am from the Harding Litwin Funeral Home 123 W.
