Edward N. Mcelwee

Edward N. McElwee, 73, of Nicholson died Wednesday May 8, 2024, at Geisinger C.M.C. He was born in Chester, on October12,1950; the son of the late Arthur and Alice Maxine Hood McElwee. Ed’s wife for 47 years is the Former Dayle Houser of Nicholson.

Ed enjoyed listening to music, reading, gardening, playing with his grandchildren and his dog Snickers. He worked for many companies Fiegleman’s Recycling Center, S & W Metal Products, Hidden Valley Kennels, and Keystone College food department.

Preceded in death by three brother Daniel, Ricky, and Jeff, and two sisters Judy and Debbie.

Surviving beside his wife Dayle, are his three sons Rob Houser (Heidi) of Nicholson; Eddie McElwee (Lera) of New Milford; Eric McElwee (Mitchell Lynn) of Factoryville. Four sisters Shirley McElwee of Texas; Michele Banty, Tammie Watson, and Cathy Spence all of North Carolina. Nine grandchildren Trista, Xavier, Jonah, Logan, Sophia, Austin, E.J., Halie, Mady and great granddaughter Mylee.
