Elaine A. Wohkittel (Smith)

Elaine A. Wohkittel, on December 9, 2024, of Littlestown, PA and formerly La Plume,

PA., died peacefully with friends and family.

Elaine was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 1, 1934, to Alexander and Mary (Brandow)

Smith. She graduated from Hawthorn High School in Paterson, NJ and went to work at

the Paterson Evening News where she met her husband Paul J. Wohkittel, Jr. of La

Plume, PA. They were married on March 2, 1957, and moved back to La Plume the

following year. Their family moved to Maryland in 1967 and they resided in Bowie

Maryland until 1994 when they were able to return to La Plume.

Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother involved in all

of her family’s interests and was an active member of Our Lady of the Abingtons

Catholic Church in Dalton, PA until moving in with her daughter in Littlestown, PA.

Elaine is survived by her sons Paul, Richard, Thomas and his wife Karen, daughter Susan

Zittle and her husband Mike, grandchildren Brittany, Matthew, Tyler, Lindsay, Richard,

Ryan, Karl, Brett, and Trevor, and great grandchildren Ender, Eleanor, and Layla Elaine.

The family will receive friends at Our Lady of the Abingtons Catholic Church in Dalton,

on December 16, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. A Funeral Mass will follow at the church With Father

Arbogaste Satoun officiating.
