Eleanor M. Martin (Venskitis)

Eleanor M. Martin, 85, died Saturday June 30, 2018 at Abington Manor, Clarks Summit.  Born in Scranton on Nov. 8, 1932; the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Fritch Venskitis.

She attended Scranton schools and retired from General Motors, Baltimore. The family would like to thank the staff at Abington Manor for their wonderful care especially Diane, Candice, Sue, Kim and Louise. Eleanor was a generous and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

Preceded in death by her daughter Carol Hamel; sister Dorothy Brown and granddaughter.

Survived by a son Thomas Glassic of C.O., daughter Marion of Easton; three grandchildren Jacqueline Lawrence, Joseph Misero and Dana Moore; three great-grandchildren; sister and guardian Catherine Gilman of Factoryville; brothers Joseph of N.Y. and Frank of N.C. ; sister Marion Kennedy of Scranton.  An uncle and a son-in-law.  Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
