Elizabeth J. Powers (Knighton)

Elizabeth J. Powers, 86, of Lenox Twp. died at Abington Manor, S. Abington Twp. on Sunday October 8, 2023. Born in Scranton on July 11, 1937; the daughter of the late William and Priscilla Davis Knighton. Elizabeth and her husband Robert Powers Sr. would have celebrated 65 years on Wednesday October 11.

Elizabeth graduated from Forest City High School in 1954. Lifetime member of the West Lenox Baptist Church. A 63-year member of the Eastern Star Prosperity Chapter 83. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, auctions, and yard sales.

She was preceded in death beside her parents by a brother William Knighton Jr. and a sister Dorothy Reynolds.

Surviving are two sons Robert Powers Jr. and his wife Barbara of Clifford Twp.; Thomas C. Powers and his wife Gail of Hop Bottom; a daughter Elizabeth and her husband Duncan Blades of McConnellsburg. Two brothers Thomas Knighton of Texas and John Knighton of Uniondale. Eight grandchildren Robert III, Bradley, Brandon, Mathew, Chris Powers; Brian, Gerard Jr., and Elizabeth Lockwood. Seven great-grandchildren
