F. Stuart “Bud” Stott

F. Stuart “Bud” Stott, 99, of Forksville, Pa.,  passed away at the Friendship Place in Pewee Valley, KY on Aug. 5, 2018.  He was born in Hatfield, PA on June 15, 1919 and was the son of the late Edwin Sidney Stuart and Mabel (Mattes) Stott.  Bud was married to the late former Phyllis Mae Barth for 67 years.

Bud worked as a machinist in the dairy industry in the Philadelphia and Fort Washington, PA areas.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking and loved communicating with nature. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Bud was active in the Lincoln Falls Wesleyan Church, Forksville, PA.

He was an Army Veteran of WWII and served in the 4 th Armored Division, serving under General Patton, from May 8 th 1941 to May 31 st 1945.  He obtained the Rank of Staff Sargeant and was awarded a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart for his service.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Cosma Kinsey.

He is survived by his son, Douglas Stuart Stott, Louise A. (Newell) Stott, Jenny Stott, granddaughter and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon, Friday Aug. 10 th, at the Lincoln Falls Wesleyan Church 6875 PA-154 Forksville, PA 18616, with Pastor William Hargenrader officiating.  A visitation will be held from 11am until the time of the service.  Internment will be private at the Beulah Cemetery New Britain, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America, P. O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
