Forest W. Reid

Forest W. Reid, 68 of Tunkhannock, died at his home on Feb. 21, 2017. He was the husband of the late former Shirley Rosengrant that passed in 2013. Born in Scranton on July 9, 1948, Forest was the son of the late Forest C. and Marian Anderson Reid.

Forest was a graduate of the Falls-Overfield High School and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting outdoor gear.  He worked at Winola Ice for many years.

Forest is survived by sons, Forest (Allen) and wife Maureen, Tunkhannock; and Brad and Fiancé Keith Loughney, Dunmore; Sisters Elaine Reid, Harvey’s Lake and Roxanne Vetty, Falls. Grandchildren Declan and Ronan Reid of Tunkhannock.

He was preceded in death by his wife the former Shirley Rosengrant.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Rev. Richard Womer of the Tunkhannock Assembly of God Church. Friends may pay their respects Saturday an hour before service at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Lake Winola.
