Francis C. Scala

Francis C. Scala, 86, of Factoryville died April 2, 2018 at Geisinger C.M.C., Scranton.  Born in Jersey City N.J.  on April 16, 1931; the son of the late Frank and Josephine Garzik  Scala.  His wife of 64 years is the former Marilyn J.  Ertle.

Francis is a graduate of St. Peters College. Served his country as a well-loved Sargent in the Korean War as a Marine.  He worked as a accountant/comptroller for Mutual Buying Syndicate, Meyer Bros. and other companies in the New York City Garment District. A member of the Factoryville Civic Club Where he was recently honored for his service. He loved friends, family and golf.

Surviving beside his wife are three boys Mark of Factoryville, Joseph and wife Robin of Factoryville and Jay and wife Sandy of Nicholson.  Two sisters Joan Barton of Fl. ,Diane Scala of N.J.,  brother Thomas Scala of NJ. and six grandchildren.

Memorial service will be Sat. 4/14/2018 at 5pm from Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc.  33 Reynolds St. Factoryville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-5pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Factoryville Men’s Civic Club PO Box 492 Factoryville, PA 18419.
