Frank E. Williams, 91, of Lake Winola passed away at the Moses Taylor Hospital Friday evening. He was born Dec. 4, 1922 in Glenburn the son of the late Charles and Mildred Gardner Williams. Frank was a graduate of the Dalton High School. He was married to the late Hazel Clark for 61 years. Frank was a crusher operator at the Wyoming Sand and Stone, and he was a member of the Lake Winola United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the Army serving in World War II receiving a purple heart on May 5, 1943, he was a member of the Back Mountion Bowling Association, Lake Winola Cemetery Association, Long Pine Softball Team, School Board Director of the Falls Overfield High School, Dalton and Lake Winola Fire Company, Red Cross Blood Drive, Ambulance Captain and Treasurer, and loved following the Yankees and the NY Giants. In addition to his parents and wife, Frank is preceded in death by two brothers and a grandson Brian Williams Surviving are a son, Paul and wife, Shirley, Lake Winola; two daughters, Elva and husband, Robert Cook, Lake Winola; and Beverly and husband, John Palmieri, Mill City; grandchildren, Melinda Williams of Lake Winola; and Neil Williams and wife, Debbie of Harding, and Renee Foradori and husband, Matt, Edinboro. Two brothers, three sisters, six great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 8th at 11am from the Lake Winola United Methodist Church 326 Maple Dr. Lake Winola Tunkhannock with Pastor Michael Baumgardner officiating. Friends may call at the Church from 4-7pm on Monday. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery Lake Winola. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Winola United Methodist Church 326 Maple Dr. Lake Winola Pa. 18635, and the Lake Winola Fire Company P.O.
