Frederick P. Litwin

Dr. Frederick Peter Litwin, 92, of Potomac, MD, passed on August 26, 2022, with family by his side.  He is the son of the late Stanley G. and Cecelia Furtacz Litwin of Rush, PA and was born on March 24,1930.

Dr.  Frederick Peter Litwin was the Director of Pathology for the Washington Hospital Center and a leading member of the medical community in the Washington, D. C. Metropolitan Area.

Dr. Litwin was father to six children:  Laurie, Randall (Julie); Tracy, Kim, Daniel (Tania); and Freddie (Gosia).  Other family members include 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded by four brothers, Stanley, Henry, Anthony, Raymond: and three sisters, Josephine Lewandoski, Gertrude Litwin, Maryanna Dobrosielski.

After his retirement, Dr. Litwin enjoyed travel, hiking and biking on the C & O Canal, cooking, gardening, reading and listening to classical music and spending time with his grandchildren.

The memorial service will be private, and internment held at St. Joachim’s Cemetery, Meshoppen, PA. Arrangements by Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc. Factoryville, PA.
