Gary Mark Brown, 64, of Tunkhannock passed away on Friday April 11, after a short stay at Abington Manor. He fought a courageous three year battle with cancer.
Born on March 19, 1961 in Montrose, he was the son of the late Gary C. and JoAn (Crowley) Brown.
Gary attended Tunkhannock High School and received a GED that he was proud of.
He was a heavy equipment operator for many years and excelled at his work. He also drove tractor trailer on occasion.
He enjoyed raising and caring for his most recent horses, Doc, Peppy, and Callie on his farm. He enjoyed working in his vegetable gardens and loved to share his amazing crops.
He liked to fish and was an avid hunter and downed many a deer. He enjoyed attending football parties, always routing for his Miami Hurricanes. In his early years, the “Brown Dog” was known to stop and enjoy a beverage or two with friends and friends to be. He was a caring and loving father and he cared deeply about his close friends. He will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his Grandparents, Roland and Mildred Brown, and Edward and Eleanor Crowley.
He is survived by a son, Mark.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday Apr. 15 th at 11am from the Harding Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock. A viewing will be held from 10am until the start of the service. Interment will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery.
