George W. Brown

George W. Brown, age 68, of Tunkhannock, passed away at Allied Hospice on October 17th, 2025. Born March 22, 1957, in Tunkhannock, he was the son of the late George and Ruth Kenny Brown.

Mr. Brown graduated from Tunkhannock Area High School and dedicated 47 years as a mechanic at Sherwood Chevrolet. He was an avid NASCAR fan and had a lifelong passion for automobiles.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Christopher Brown and granddaughter Breanna Sue Ruhmel.

He is survived by his children: Nathan Brown (Jen) of Tunkhannock, Melissa Jennings of Springville, Georgia Brown (Amanda) of Dushore, Ryan Brown of Tunkhannock, and Jessica Brown of Forkston; siblings: Robert G. Brown (Shirley) of Factoryville, Harold Brown (Louise) of Tunkhannock, and Beth Ann Brown of Tunkhannock. Mr. Brown also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
