Preceding George in death are four brothers Charles, Ronald and Gary Fornwalt and Russell Guestford.
George was a devoted husband to his wife Kimberly, of 40 years.
He was a loving father to his children:
Jennifer Cain, Holly, Heather, George and Seth Fornwalt and Jessica (Fornwalt) Smith, wife of Cody Smith. He was a proud grandfather to twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. George is also survived by his two brothers and two sisters: Larry, Ken, Joyce, and Susan Fornwalt.

George went on to become a Millwright, assembling production line machinery for IBM and installing equipment at Tinker Air Force Base. He spent much of his career as an assistant store manager for Lowe’s before later becoming a nationally ranked Regional Territory Manager for PPG.
Even in retirement, George stayed active and a part of the community at AutoZone in Tunkhannock as a deliveryman.
George cherished his time at the Factoryville Sportsman’s Club, where his resilient spirit shone through in everything he did—serving as a board member, caring for the grounds, helping with sporting clay events, organizing hunts, and supporting the club’s road cleanup program. He established programs that promoted safety and generated revenue. George was artistic, creative, and ingenious—a true ‘Jack of all Trades.’ He had a lifelong love of the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and archery.
His pride and greatest joy was passing on the tradition, love, and knowledge of hunting and fishing to his children.
