Geraldine A. Philo (Stark)

Geraldine Ann Philo, 87, of Dalton, died Monday January 2, 2023 at Regional Hospital of Scranton after an illness. Her husband, the late Frederick G. Philo died August 14, 2012.
Born in Clarks Summit on July 8, 1935; the daughter of the late Floyd and Anna Hajos Stark, she retired from Richards and also Schirg School bus Companies, where she worked as a bus driver for over 40 years. Geraldine was a member of Our Lady of the Snows, Clarks Summit, a graduate of Dalton High School, loved the special times with her family.
Also surviving are her children, Dr. Deborah Ann Philo-Costello, Owasso, Okla.; Susanne Marie Philo, Dalton; and David Frederick Philo, Newark, Del.; grandchildren, Blake Mitchell Costello and Brooke Nichole Costello, Owasso; and Logan David Philo, Newark; sister Elsie Kilmer of Nicholson; several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Stark and a sister, Alberta Hall.

Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday January 7, 2023 at 9:30 am at Our Lady of the Snows, Clarks Summit with Rev. Stephan A. Asomah. Interment, Abington Hills Cemetery, Clarks Summit. Arrangements by Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc., Factoryville.
