Earl Shotwell Sr., 92, of Tunkhannock, passed away on July 4, 2026, at Tunkhannock Rehab Health Center. Born July 8, 1933, in Tunkhannock, he was the son of the late Claude E. and Erma L. Phillips Shotwell. He was married to the late Doris Shotwell for 71 years. Earl graduated from Tunkhannock High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Bendix as a manager for 40 years.

Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and riding his Harley-Davidson Panhead.

Earl was a longtime member and trustee of Tunkhannock Presbyterian Church. He also volunteered with the Tunkhannock Ambulance for many years.

In addition to his parents and wife, Earl was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Shotwell; sisters, Wanda Brown and Janet Kristunas; and infant daughter, Elizabeth Shotwell.

He is survived by his children, Grant Shotwell and his wife, Deborah, of Tunkhannock, and Donna Shotwell and her husband, Michael Kisielewski, of Sarasota, Florida; grandchildren, Ryan Shotwell, Ashley Bedway, Justin Shotwell, Lindsey Kisielewski, and Erin Kisielewski; great-grandchildren, Brody and Sylvia Bedway; brother, Lloyd Shotwell of Owego, New York; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on July 9 at Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.
