Helen Montanye

Helen Montanye, 77, of Tunkhannock passed away June 25, 2018 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.  She was born on October 27, 1940 in Tunkhannock and she was the daughter of the late William and Amelia Allen Fitch.  She was married to Harry Montanye for 58 years.

Helen was a 1958 graduate of the Tunkhannock High School and worked at the Wyoming County Court House as a Deputy Treasurer.  Helen and Harry enjoyed traveling, camping, playing penny slots at the casino, watching racing and studying history together.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers Albert, Donald and Robert Fitch and a sister Joann Fitch.

In addition to her husband Helen is survived by a brother Paul and wife Libby of Stevensville, MD, sister Margie Kinney of Tunkhannock, sister-in-law Rosemary Magill and husband John of Port Charlotte, Fl, brother-in-laws Harvey and wife Sandra Montanye, of Tunkhannock, and Steve and wife Krista Montanye of Kalamazoo MI.
