James Douglas Mccarty

James Douglas McCarty, 77, of Dushore passed away at his home on May 22, 2023.  He was born in Williamsport on April 14, 1946, and he was the son of the late John Francis and Vivian Elfreda Snell McCarty.

James served 4 years in the US Coast Guard, worked at P&G for 22 years, and Stewart Construction for 15 years.  He was of the Catholic faith, and he enjoyed; hunting, fishing, trapping, and being a hounds man.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings Wilbur, Guy, Bill, Patricia McCarty.

He is survived by his children James (Heidi) McCarty, Tania (Brian) Renshaw, Wilbur McCarty, Lance (Charity) McCarty. Also surviving are siblings; Vivian McCarty, Nancy (Don) Romano, Virginia St. Clair, Nelly Pennella, John (Donna) McCarty, Sharon (Dick) Thompson, Connie (Vernon) Bogart, Mary (Dale) Hoppes, 13 grandchildren 1 great grandchild and one on the way and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the Forksville fairgrounds on July 8th 2023 from 12 to 4pm.
