James Ross

James Ross, 71, of Hop Bottom died Monday July 11, 2022, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. Born in Scranton on July 26, 1950; the son of the late Charles and Gladys Hunter Ross. His wife, the former Joanne Ross died in 2018.

Known as the “Lawnmower Man” loved tinkering on lawnmowers or anything with power. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles and scooters. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his grandson Dylan Ross, 2014. Three brothers Bruce, Jack, and Charlie.

Surviving is his son James Ross of Hop Bottom and Two sisters Joelyn Ross of Lenox and Jenny Ross of Nicholson. Four grandchildren Jonathan and Joshua MacDonald, Jacqueline Henry, and Kevin Ross. Three great grandchildren Anthony, Lyle, and Ezra. Two sisters Louis Whitbeck and Ruthie Harvey.

A Celebration of Life for James will be held at a later date at the home of his daughter Jenny. Arrangements by Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Home, Factoryville
