Jay Enoch Stark, 85, of Tunkhannock, passed away on Sept. 27, 2026, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore. Born in Scranton on Apr. 24, 1941, he was the son of the late Erwin and Ann Williams Stark. He graduated from Tunkhannock High School in 1959 and was married to the former Erma Cook for 65 years.

Jay worked in the Procter and Gamble warehouse for 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, cheering for the New York Giants and Notre Dame football, and spending time with his family. He also served on the Tunkhannock Borough Council for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Joseph Stark.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Diane Stark Lee of Tunkhannock; Becky Stark Dilmore of Florida; and Robert Stark and his wife, Peggy, of Delaware. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held privately at the family’s convenience.
