Jennifer Lynn Olson, 54, of Factoryville, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, in an automobile accident alongside her mother, Diane Lynn Olson.

Jennifer was born on September 1, 1972, in Van Nuys, California, to Myron James “Ole” and Diane Skorich Olson. She attended school in Vista, California, until her family relocated to Pennsylvania in 1981. She graduated from Lackawanna Trail High School in 1990, where she participated in marching band, Madrigal, and Drama Club.

Jennifer began her nursing career as an LPN after completing her education at Lackawanna Vo-Tech and later earned her RN through Regents College in Albany, New York. She worked at Carbondale Nursing Home and Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia before continuing her career at Community Medical Center in Scranton, where she served as an emergency room charge nurse.

Jennifer was a kind and caring person who loved music and traveling, especially cruises. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was an active member of Grace Bible Church, where she enjoyed participating in church activities and study groups. Generous by nature, Jennifer was always willing to help others.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Ole and Diane; her brother, Steven; and her aunt, Karol Gerard.

She is survived by her aunt and uncle, Marilyn and Dave Foerster; her uncle, Mark Gerard; and several cousins.

GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: Thursday, October 1, from noon until the 2 p.m. memorial service at Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville. Pastor Joshua Makey of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and David Lee of Grace Bible Church will officiate. Diane and Jennifer will be interred at Chase Cemetery.
