Joseph R. Barnes

Joseph R.  Barnes, 69, of Factoryville, died Friday evening March 16, 2018 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.

Born in Scranton on March 13, 1948; son of the late Thomas and Electa Mae Kelley Barnes.  Joe was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army. Before retirement Joe worked as a mechanic for National Park Service at Steamtown National Historic Site.

Preceding him in death is his wife Janet and two brothers William and James.

Surviving are daughters Phaedra Barnes of Clarks Summit Desiree Gallagher of Dalton and a brother Thomas of Falls.

There will be a toast in Joe’s honor on March 23, 2018 at 7pm from Sidelines 110 College Ave., Factoryville. Arrangements by Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc.
