Josephine Bunnell Troster

Josephine Bunnell Troster passed away on Oct. 28, 2016 in Florida. She was born in Meshoppen on April 12, 1918 the only child of the late Theodore and Jessie Maynard Bunnell. She attended Mansfield and earned a Masters in Music from Columbia University. She taught at Tunkhannock for several years and then on Long Island NY. Over the years she directed several choirs including the Scranton Choraleers and groups of Sweet Adelines. She also served as organist for many churches of all denominations but whenever possible she returned to Meshoppen to play at the Methodist Church. She is survived by cousin Judy Mead of Tunkhannock, Connie Bunnell  Smales  of Springville, Pa
Sarah Bunnell Traver of Meshoppen, Pa., and Christine Bunnell Poulsen of Meshoppen, Pa and friends Mary-jane Crisman and Eve Cox. Private services will take place at Sunnyside arranged by Harding Litwin Funeral Home www.aplitwinfuneralhomes.com.
