Judith M. Keiser

Judith Keiser, 75, of Tunkhannock, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 26 at the Gardens in Tunkhannock.  She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Hoyt Keiser.  Born on August 22, 1948, in Williamsport, PA to the late Frank and Ruth Plotts of Watsontown, PA, Judy graduated from Warrior Run Area High School, Turbotville in 1966. She settled in the Tunkhannock area with her family following a devastating fire in 1969. Judy worked for a time as a cafeteria aid at the Roslund Elementary School and at the Aldovin Dairy Store in Eaton Township. She found her real niche as a bank teller at United Penn Bank, Mellon Bank, Peoples National Bank, and others.  Judy enjoyed working with the customers at area banks and jokingly said “I worked for a number of banks but never changed the location of my window.” She attended Penn State, Scranton Campus, and Keystone Junior College. Judy really loved Northeastern Pennsylvania, especially Tunkhannock, and her family and friends loved her.   In addition to her husband Judy is survived by sister Nancy Aunkst (Watsontown); daughter, Staci Wiernusz and husband Timothy; son, Craig Keiser and wife Laura; grandchildren: Samuel Wiernusz and wife Julia; Mitchell Wiernusz; Franklin Wiernusz; Benjamin Keiser; Meghan Keiser; Alexander Keiser; Zachary Keiser; and Molly Keiser; and great-grandsons Amos and Wyatt Wiernusz. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Patrica Erway and Francis Gallagher. At Judy’s request, there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Tunkhannock Ambulance Association and Triton Hose Company, Tunkannock. www.aplitwinfuneralhomes.com
