Kennard M. Britton, 96, of Factoryville died Saturday March 5, 2022, at Regional Hospital of Scranton. He was born in Factoryville in Sept. 29, 1925. The son of the late Frank and Eva Freeman Britton. His late wife, Ramona A. Britton, died March 12, 2006.
He graduated from Factoryville High School in 1944 worked as an Electrician for Erie Lackawanna and Conrail Railroad companies. He was an avid Golfer and Bowler belonging to many leagues in the area. He was honorary president of the Falls Senior Center Men’s Coffee Klatch.
Kennard is preceded in death beside his wife and parents by his sister Martha Ross.
Surviving are three daughters Diane Britton of Factoryville, Cyndy Sanders of Lancaster, NH, Becky Rivera of Fleetville and a son Kevin of Lewiston, Maine, grandchildren, Megan Hayward, Claire Sanders, Bradley, Maurielle Rivera, four great-grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.
Funeral service will be on Friday March 11, 2022, at 1pm at the Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 Reynolds St. Factoryville, Friends may visit at the funeral from 11 to 1pm with Rev. Lou Divis presiding. Interment at Evergreen-Woodlawn Cemetery, Factoryville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter 967 Griffin Pond Road Clarks Summit, PA 18411, where Kennard adopted two companion cats, Romeow and Elmer.
