Leon Benjamin Stonier

Leon Benjamin Stonier, 81, of East Lemon, passed away at the Dunmore Health Center on Sept. 12, 2022.  He was born on Nov. 8, 1940 and he was the son of the late Leon and Doris Weiss Stonier.  Leon was married to the late former Nancy Barbara Saunders for 56 years.

Leon was a Jack of All Trades for Sherwood Chevrolet for over 37 years and Ace Stonier for 20 years.  He was a 1958 graduate of the Tunkhannock High School, and he served in the Army.

He enjoyed mowing his lawn, watching car auctions and car restoration shows, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents and wife he is preceded in death by a brother Walter Stonier.

He is survived by brothers; George and wife Sheila Stonier of East Lemon, Charles Stonier and wife Laura Hasenzahl of Meshoppen, Scott and Wife Betty Stonier of Sweet Valley, Kenneth (Jamie) and wife Karen Stonier of California, Sister Doris (Susie) and husband Joe Keefe of Wyoming, Children; Gerald and wife Elizabeth Stonier of East Lemon, Jason and wife Nicole Stonier of East Lemon, grandchildren; Jeremy and wife Cassie Stonier of East Lemon, Justin Stonier and girlfriend Julia Randazzo of Lehman, Alison Stonier of East Lemon, London Hallock, of East Lemon,  and a great grandson to be Emmett Robert Stonier, several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice and the Dunmore Health Center for their care of Leon.

A memorial service will be held Sat. Sept. 17th at 7:30pm from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W.
