Lisa A. Barber-Vasky (Barber)

Lisa Ann Barber-Vasky, 58, of Fleetville died peacefully Wednesday morning Oct. 18, 2017 after a brief stay at Geisinger C. M.C, Scranton, with her husband by her side.  Born in Scranton on Sept. 18, 1959; the daughter of the late Wellington “Laverne” and Norma Stark Barber. She was the wife of Allen Vasky. The couple has been married since 1995. They were the loves of each other’s lives.

Lisa was a mother, wife, farmer, friend, and so much more. She was the proud owner of her own business, a boarding Kennel, her and Allen founded in 1996. Her farm, where she grew up, was her pride and joy. The animals were her therapy and loved her as much as she loved them. She always put everyone else before herself and always found the good in people. She enjoyed working in her gardens during the summer and decorating during the winter. She knew how to make a home feel warm. Hardworking and loving, Lisa was the strongest person you’d ever meet.

Surviving is her daughter, Emma Vasky, also of Fleetville. Emma was her only daughter and she loved her more than anything. She filled Emma’s world with love every single day.

Memorial Service will be Sunday at 1pm with Rev . Catherine Parsons officiating from the Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 Reynolds St. Factoryville. Friends may call at the funeral home and hour before service time. In lieu of flowers friends may make memorial contributions to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter; 967 Griffin Pond Rd.
