Mary Ellsworth Shupp, aged 92, of Tunkhannock, passed away on April 1, 2026 at the Tunkhannock Rehab. Born in Tunkhannock on February 9, 1934, Mary was the daughter of late Lewis and Eleanor Arnold Ellsworth.

Mary worked as an office manager for Bocar Manufacturing in Tunkhannock. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, and supporting her son Chris in car racing. Passionate about racing herself, Mary spent her younger years competing in go-cart races and powder puff stock car races. She also cared for many cats throughout her life.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Ellsworth, Jr., and Grace Matalavy.

She is survived by her children: Glenda Ankenbauer and fiancé Dave Davis, Chris Shupp and wife Paula, and Lynn Robinson and husband Jared, all of Tunkhannock; grandchildren Dave (Nicole) and Jason Mooers, Seth (Lauren) Ankenbauer, Michael and Sarah Parkhurst, and Ian and Josh Robinson; seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and a very dear friend Frank Clark.

Funeral services will take place Friday, April 10th at 11am at Osterhout Bible Church, 467 Lane Hill Rd, Tunkhannock, PA. There will be a viewing starting at 10am until the service begins. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
