Michael Ian Callahan, 28, of Mehoopany, formerly of Tabernacle NJ, passed away from a logging accident on Feb. 19, 2021. He was born on Sept. 11, 1992, Voorhees, NJ. Michael was the son of Gerry and Joann Pickard Callahan of Tabernacle, NJ.
Michael was a graduate of Seneca High School in Tabernacle, NJ and a member of the Seneca Golden Eagles football team. Michael earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from West Virginia University. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Order, Alpha Rho Chapter of WVU.
Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, quads, dirt bikes, anything outside and drinking a cold Miller Lite with his Father, sisters and friends.
He is preceded in death by a brother Patrick Callahan.
In addition to his parents he is survived by two sisters: Lauren and husband Sean Davis of Southampton NJ, and Colleen Callahan, of Tunkhannock, loving companion Ashley Kuback of Mehoopany, two aunts: Karen Pickard of Long Beach Township NJ and Janet Pickard of Signal Mountain TN, and two nieces Ashlynn and Brynn Davis.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, Pa. from 5-7 pm Thursday Feb. 25th. For online condolences or direction visit
