Richard J. Lakata

Richard J. Lakata, 75, of Factoryville passed away at his home on Sept. 3, 2017.  Richard was born in Jersey City, NJ on Feb. 25, 1942 and he was the son of the late Joseph and Anne Golis Lakata.  He was married to the former Diane C. Golden for 50 years.

Richard was a 1960 graduate of the Saint Aloysious High School, and he attended the Jersey City State College and St. Peter’s University.  He enjoyed metal detecting, antiques, and baseball.

In addition to his wife Diane, Richard is survived by his children;

Joseph Lakata of Mechanicsburg, Jeffrey and wife Denise of Toms River, NJ, Jason and wife Rachel of Factoryville, Jamie and wife Charlene of Clinton, NJ, and Jill Lakata and husband Todd McIntyre of Manville, NJ, and a sister Bernadette Mitchell of Georgia.

He has 7 grandchildren and one great granddaughter

Service will be private at the convenience of the family.
