Robert George Naylor, 93, of Benton Twp. died Wednesday, May 27th at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. Born in Benton Twp. on March 12th 1922, he was the son of the late Ralph and Rhoda Green Naylor. His wife, of 69 years, is the former Audrey Mae Butler; Robert affectionately called her “Bunny”.
He was a graduate of Benton High School and Keystone Jr. College. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, Dalton.
Bob was a past president of the former Benton High School and the Lackawanna Trail school boards. A lifelong dairy farmer in Benton Township, he was a member of the Lackawanna County Cooperative Extension Board, the Wyoming/Lackawanna County Farm Bureau and a past director of the Pennsylvania Farm Credit.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their exceptional care to Robert.
Robert is survived by four daughters Rebecca Rust, Factoryville, Deborah Petrewski, Benton Twp, Cassie Dunahoo, Lawrenceville, Ga. and Janet Madani, San Jose, Calif., one son, Daniel Naylor, Benton Twp., 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Ralph, Glenburn and Richard, Springville, one sister, Lucille Smith, Helene, Mt.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Naylor, Jr., a daughter, Bonnie Gould, one brother Donald, two sisters, Emma Truman, and Roberta Grambow.
Funeral service will be Monday at 11am from the Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 Reynolds St. Factoryville with Pastors Ben Rust and Scott Bixby presiding. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-8 pm. Interment, Nicholson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church, Pine Tree Drive Dalton, PA 18414
