Roger L. Currier

Roger L. Currier, 79, recently of Tunkhannock, PA, passed away on December 15, 2021 at United Methodist Home, Wesley Village.  He was born on October 18, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA to Myrtle W. and Eugene L. Currier.

Roger received his B.A. in History from Ohio Wesleyan and his law degree from Rutgers, where he graduated second in his class and was a member of Law Review.  Roger served in the U.S. Army JAG Corps and was stationed at Newport News, VA.  After serving he was a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division in Philadelphia until retirement.

Roger loved learning, especially about history and the civil war era.  He read veraciously and was always willing to describe the latest book.  He enjoyed traveling, cooking and gardening on the weekends, and planning all the gardens at his homes in Richboro and Lebanon, PA.  Roger loved the ocean and visiting Cape May, NJ every fall with his wife, Judi.  He and Judi always made it a point to stop at the Lobster House.

He is predeceased by his parents, Myrtle and Eugene Currier and his loving wife of (51) years, Judith (Albrecht) Currier.

He leaves behind his children, Alison L. Delano (George) Auburn Twp., PA and Dean A. Currier (Donna) Oreland, PA; his grandchildren, Brian and Sean Currier and Mitchell Delano; his sister Virginia Ackler (Lou) Newtown, PA; and his niece and nephews.

The family will notify friends and loved ones in the future when the gravesite service and remembrance ceremony are scheduled.  Memorial donations can be made to United Methodist Homes Foundation , 10 Acre Place, Binghamton, NY 13904 to benefit UMH Tunkhannock Manor.
