Roger D. Seamans

Roger D. Seamans Sr., 88, of Factoryville, died Friday July 15, 2022, at Abington Manor, Clarks Summit.

Born in Factoryville, on June 11, 1934, the son of the Late Carl H. and Irene Giles Seamans Sr. He married his wife of 58 years, Beverly A. Seamans, on May 31, 1958, she died in 2016.

Roger was a 1953 graduate of Factoryville High School. He started working for Commonwealth Telephone Co. in 1956 where he worked as a lineman and then as a switchman. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren.

Surviving is a daughter, Jill Edgington and husband, Wayne of DeLand, Fla.; son, Roger D. Seamans Jr. of Nicholson; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by four brothers Carl H. Jr., Richard “Dick”, Norman, Charles and his younger sister Sonna.

Memorial services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. from the Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes Inc., 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville. Interment at Evergreen-Woodlawn Cemetery, Factoryville.
