Samuel R. Keithline, 71, of Tunkhannock, passed away peacefully at home on August 1st, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones. Born May 7, 1955, in Meshoppen, he was the son of the late Samuel O. Keithline and Myra D. (Siglin) Keithline.

Sammy graduated from Tunkhannock High School in 1973. Affectionately known as "Slammin' Sam," he worked as a dedicated laborer and truck driver until his disability prevented him from working. Though he was always a busy man, his true passion was tending to his lawn and keeping it looking pristine. Sam had a famously witty sense of humor; if you were lucky enough, you were blessed with one of his trademark nicknames. He always looked forward to visits from friends, but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his daughters and grandchildren, who were truly the greatest loves of his life.

Sam is survived by his daughters; Heather Adams and husband, Eugene, of Mehoopany; Samantha Lee and husband, David, of Tunkhannock. His grandchildren; Kyle Keithline Shaffer; Mara, Paige, and Wesley Adams; Nathaniel, Nevaeh, Naomi, and Nicholas Lee. His sisters; Carol (Charles) Corby and Susan (Gary) Keeney. Also many beloved nieces and nephews, so many good friends that helped him out along the way, and the "ex-family" whom he always held dear in his heart.

In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Goble, brother Harry Keithline, and his grandson, Andrew Adams.

The Family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Serenity Hospice Care especially Bobbi Jo.

The family will have a Celebration of Sam’s Life at a later date. Arrangements by Harding-Litwin Funeral Home.
