Shirley A. Corby

Shirley Howell Corby, 85, of Monroe Twp. Passed away Sunday, Aug 31, 2025, at The Embassy in Tunkhannock. Shirley was married to William Corby Sr. for 68 years.

Together, they raised their five children on the farm. She worked hard throughout her life. She also worked for Bricks Market as a Baker for many years. She enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren at family dinners. She enjoyed planting her flower gardens, which brought her great joy. She also enjoyed school events and Knoebels. She also enjoyed bird watching with her husband.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clair and Beulah Lord Howell, her mother in law, Irene Corby, brother, Leon Howell, sister, Marie Verbryck her sons William Corby jr and Marvin Corby, Grandson Daniel Kozick and brothers in law, Harry Verbryck, Barney Singer, and Robert Burkholder.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughters Debbie Kozick, Sherry Corby, and Lori Corby all of Monroe Twp., daughter in law Vickie Corby, grandchildren; David and wife Hanna Ramage, Melissa Ramage and fiancé Alex Jubinski, Danielle Kozick, and Billy and wife Amy Kozick, Samantha, Justin Corby, Randy and wife Angel Miller. Several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday. Sept. 6th at 11 am at the Evergreen-Woodlawn Cemetery, 55 Capwell Ave. Factoryville, Pa 18419.
