Sylvia Colvin (Conklin)

Sylvia Colvin, 93, of Factoryville died Tuesday Aug. 8, 2017 as a result of an automobile accident in Tunkhannock. Born in Walton, NY on March 26, 1924; the daughter of the late Leon J. and Mabel E. Stevens Conklin. Her husband the Robert G. Colvin died Nov. 29, 1998.

She is a graduate of Hallstead High school class of 1942. A member of the Factoryville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Factoryville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed going to the Wyoming County Senior Center. She loved to do arts, crafts and quilting. She owned and operated Sylvia’s Hair salon in Factoryville for over forty years.

Preceded in death by three sisters Bea Frey, Mae Barnes and Betty Gennarelli; Two brothers David and Leon Conklin.

Surviving are two brothers Carl Conklin of Williamsport and Robert Conklin of Factoryville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday Aug. 15 at 11am from Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 Reynolds St. Factoryville with Pastor T.J. McCabe officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10am until service time. Interment at Evergreen-Woodlawn Cemetery, Factoryville.
